Expanding Kirkland's Public Lands

Pride Crosswalk Upgrade

A donor-advised fund (DAF) at KPCF is your personal account for charitable giving.

Our mission: Kirkland Parks & Community Foundation ignites the power of philanthropy by connecting people, ideas and resources to cultivate a healthy, vibrant, inclusive and sustainable community.

What is a community foundation?

A community foundation is a public charity that focuses on supporting a geographical area (in this case, Kirkland), primarily by raising and aggregating donations which are then used to address community needs and support local nonprofits. Community foundations offer different types of grant programs with their nonprofit partners and a variety of ways for donors and the community to give, like donor-advised funds (DAFs), area-of-impact funds and more. Community foundations are funded by donations from individuals, families, local businesses, corporations and sometimes government grants.

"The steadfast support of KPCF was a bright spot of connection and community for our guests."

A Prideful Upgrade

Our downtown Pride Crosswalk has been defaced more than 4 times since it was unveiled in 2023. This is our chance to make it a more durable part of the city.
