Grants

Ignite Kirkland grants

Over the years, KPCF has granted fund to support a wide variety of nonprofits and causes. KPCF granted more than $40,000 to the Lake Washington School District to support STEM education curriculum at the elementary, middle school and high school levels. 15 schools received grants. During COVID, as schools were forced to close, the Foundation granted over $70,000 to fully fund a full-time, on-site educator to serve children in the family shelter system. We have also granted funds to support scholarships for arts and recreation activities and courses. These grants expanded access for those less able to financially afford the programs. Over the foundation's history we've granted out more than $500,000 to a variety of initiatives.

Ignite Kirkland is a grant program funding nonprofit organizations that contribute to the well-being of the Kirkland Community in many ways, including Arts & Culture, Community, Economic Vitality, Education & Innovation, Environment & Sustainability, Heritage, Human Potential, and Parks & Recreation. This annual grant cycle kicks off this year, in 2024!
