SPARK CREATIVITY/Arts Scholarships for Kids is a 2023 campaign organized by the Kirkland Parks and Community Foundation (KPCF) in partnership with Kirkland Arts Center, KAMP Music, and Studio East. Donors to the Spark Creativity campaign contributed to a scholarship fund that widens access to arts education and experiences for all youth in our community.
As Jonathan Heuer, KPCF President explained, “this was a great opportunity to make arts education more accessible in Kirkland. It’s an exciting way to spark creativity throughout our community, and to pull in more kids for a variety of programs including music, visual arts, and theater.”
KPCF orchestrated the campaign in partnership with Kirkland Arts Center, KAMP Music, and Studio East Performing Arts. Together these four local organizations span the full spectrum of artistic exploration including visual arts, music, dance, and theater.
According to Laura Allen, KAMP Executive Director, “By participating in the Spark Creativity campaign, KAMP significantly increased our scholarship opportunities. We are always excited to be able to expand access to our programming, so that any family, regardless of their financial situation, can send their child to one of our programs.”
